Man in fraudulent check case pleads no contest to elder, ID theft

A man who reportedly stole about $6,900 by cashing fraudulent checks that were stolen from an elderly woman and a former employer has pleaded no contest to charges of elder theft and identity theft, both felonies, and is expected to be sentenced to six months' jail time.
