Contested election ahead for Menlo fire board

Four candidates are vying for three open seats on the board of the Menlo Park Fire Protection District, which includes the communities of Atherton, Menlo Park, East Palo Alto and nearby unincorporated areas.

Let’s see who the other fire board members endorse for the election? We need a team that will work together, work with the staff and not create problems.

Bernstein is always the odd man out for issues related to the board. Maybe new blood is needed. McLaughlin, Ballard, and Jones maybe be a good fit.

McLaughlin: Atherton
Jones: EPA
Ballard: Menlo Park
