So, why isn't the Almanac even covering the Ravenswood City School Board vacancies? Just curious. And make sure you report that district as encompassing East Palo Alto and the Belle Haven neighborhood of Menlo Park (as we are technically the north side and not the east). Thanks for your work.

Mr. Hickey: thank you for the information. A quick question: you used to run on a platform that included term limits. Yet, having finally won an office after so, so many tries (governor, congress, etc..) you won't honor your previous pledges regarding your own term limits.

What happened?

Were you wrong before, or just wrong now? If you were to use a single word to describe your flip-flop, what would it be?

also: are you supporting Mr. Garb, the former gun dealer, or putting all candidates in your list??

Chuck Bernstein running again.... looks like unfinished work at the fire district....Mr. Personality....LOL

Jim, new comer, will make a good addition.

Glad to see George Yang, not a Menlo Park political puppet. Not a Facebook employee either, or funded by Facebook Foundations as some that will run...

Hallelujah! Woodside's District 4 has the chance to be represented by someone with more than a high school education and someone without a conflict of interest. Any takers??

Here is some good advice for every candidate. Create or update your Linkedin page (which is free), and list where your income is from. Once elected, you and your spouse will be required to list where your income is from, and how much you earn: over $10K, over $100k, etc. You will also be required to list your investments over $2K.

Income and investments are a private matter. If a candidate wishes to disclose that is perfectly OK. If candidates want to keep their investments private that is their prerogative. I vote for people based upon 1) Their ideas, 2) Their past performance, 3) The ability to work well with others, and 4) Their ethics. Whether candidates are filthy rich or as poor as a church mouse is irrelevant.

Some people have a bias against accomplished people. Many accomplished people have accumulated great wealth. Are we supposed to hold their success against them and deny the electorate candidates who can serve the community well?

"Some people have a bias against accomplished people."

Most people don't.

List five politicians who have been hurt because they were "accomplished people."

I don't know much about MP Fire District candidate Jim McLaughlin, but I'll admit I'm intrigued by his positions of "not being Chuck Bernstein", as well as his stance of "being a different person than Chuck Bernstein".

I'd like to know who has contributed to the campaign of East Palo Alto candidate Regina Wallace-Jones. How do voters obtain that information?
