Portola Valley: Council approves $5,000 deposit for commercial cannabis applicants

The Portola Valley Town Council voted unanimously on Wednesday (May 23) to approve a one-time application fee of $750 and a deposit of $5,000 for up to 30 hours of staff work for people wanting to grow commercial cannabis in town.

Controversy aside, I find it fascinating to watch the bureaucracies of CA work through a first time situation like this.
Enjoyable times to be living in for a policy junkie :)
