Original post made on May 17, 2018

"The developer and project architect, Ken Hayes of Hayes Group Architects, said that the firm did hold a public meeting to provide information about the project, but only three people attended."

This statement is a little misleading. I personally communicated directly with the developer regarding my concerns long before that meeting. Others neighbors, Including I believe the owners of the market, the pre-school and the closest homes, met in person with the developers prior to their meeting. When in both cases the developers dismissed the concerns and were not open to any changes it was evident that the community meeting was not going to be to discuss the neighborhood concerns, it was going to be a meeting for the developers and designers to tell everyone that their concerns were unfounded and that they would go ahead with their original plans. Many people, myself included, had better ways to spend our time than listening to a sales pitch we had already heard.
