So the principal turns around a failing school in everymetric possible, but is removed because he doesn’t kiss the ring of the superintendent. Yeah, sounds about right.....

How about removing an incompetent superintendent mid-year instead? This whole scenario is such an unacceptable disservice to Menlo Park children at an educationally formative time in their lives.

This is a real shame. I'm sure there are other sides to this story, but following the situation in the Ravenswood School District the past few years, it's become very clear that Ms. Hernandez-Goff needs to be fired. She needs to be reminded that she works for the parents in the district. Perhaps Mr. Gaviglio should be hired as the next Superintendent.

I agree with all former posters. The school board must be blind to keep the superintendent working at Ravenswood after so many negative articles have been written. They are there to supervise the superintendent. The superintendent probably hired their relatives and gave them a good position and salary, as it is the case of Sharifa Wilson who asked the supe if she could hire her domestic partner Glenda Savage as the director of the CDC even though she did not have the proper credential, and Ms. Hernandez hired her. This is why the board does nothing about it. They owe her big favors. This is the way things work at Ravenswood. Many employees are afraid that if they do not cover for the sue they will be fired or laid off. They are the superintendent bosses, but they seem to be deaf and blind, time for them to go. Shame on the School Board Members.
