There are people in our lives who make the world better. Dick was one of them. He would always tell it like it was, so you always knew where you stood with him. He was intelligent and spry, an excellent conversationalist, and truly kind and thoughtful. I am lucky to have known him. We will miss Dick sorely.

Mr. Tagg was my inspiration to make regular donations of platelets and blood. The way I see it, he has saved far more than 2,100 lives. He was the leader and I am proud to have been part of his team.

I never had the privilege or honor to meet Barbara's husband. Barbara frequently came to our rescue in one of our Alta Sierra bridge groups. Being such an interesting and pleasant sub she would often talk about having to commute back and forth between the Bay Area and Alta Sierra. She seemed very happy when she was available to accommodate our group. We hope we have the opportunity to invite Barbara more often.

My heartfelt condolences to you Barbara. I'm looking forward to playing bridge in the near future.

Wishing you well,

Mary Ellen Capper
