As much as I hate to say it, I'm not sure I trust our council and planning commission with any more decision-making power than they already have. I don't think the current large buildings along el Camino are a great idea. I think the focus should be on more housing, especially near the train station. Having more offices may generate more revenue but it will make more traffic too. I believe most people who would choose to live next to that track, putting up with the noise would do so because they would be train commuters. Why else would anyone want to be between the noise of el Camino and the intrusion of the trains??? On the other hand, I do believe voters should have their say, even if I fear the outcome. So what am I saying. Yes, we should be allowed to vote and I would urge a NO vote.
