Guest opinion: Facebook, where is your corporate social responsibility policy?

Six months ago, I wrote a guest opinion, "Facebook needs corporate social responsibility policy" (The Almanac, Aug. 2). More recently, I attended a meeting (Nov. 29) in East Palo Alto (EPA) with community members, residents from the Belle Haven neighborhood of Menlo Park, Stanford University students, and three Facebook representatives (Bernita Dillard, Lewis Knight and Juan Salazar).

Thank you for this truth filled article and all you are doing to stand up for EPA and Belle Haven residents! Your questions that take aim at Facebook's accountability are spot on and need to be at the center of every discussion about Facebook/CZI's actions in the EPA and Belle Haven communities.

Kyra, your questions and conclusions obviously reflect what many MP and EPA locals are finding with Facebook. Have you received any response from Facebook about this opinion piece?
