New book explores origins of street names in Menlo Park

In January 2017, Jim Lewis, the incoming president of the Menlo Park Historical Association, said he wanted to uncover the origins of street names in the city.

Another article I read on this has a brief discussion of Arnold Way, but it is interesting that Arnold Way was not the original name of the street. Stamped in the sidewalk for 70 years (until it was removed to put in a ramp a few years ago) was a different name. The same for Regal (the stamp is still there in the sidewalk). Why did they get changed after the sidewalks were poured?

Palo Alto is currently renaming public schools that are named after prominent white supremacists. Is Menlo Park going to rename any streets when this research is done?
