Year in review: Development, traffic top Menlo Park agenda

For people in Menlo Park, the past 12 months have likely involved, in one way or another, watching new buildings take shape, inching through traffic on El Camino Real or Willow Road, and either worrying about rent or basking in escalating property values.

Certainly nice to see the Greenheart Project finally come to fruition.

If only it could have been half the size. But then that is my feelings about most all he over-sized projects approved by our City Council. Now we must all live with the consequences.

Sure, the Greenheart Station 1300 project wasn't the right size- it was TOO SMALL. A site right across from the Caltrain station could have been a chance to really move the needle on transit-oriented development, but the zoning caps out the heights and densities at pretty modest levels. And people still complain!
