This is why the Peninsula never produces enough new housing to meet the supply/demand levels of the past -- the new "landed gentry" is doing everything it can to maximize its windfall profit. Sure, orchards and Ohlone land were paved over for suburban sprawl, but building apartments? That'd destroy NEIGHBORHOOD CHARACTER!!!

My wife and I tried to buy a starter house in Bell Haven back in 2011. We had a 812 FICO. And $30,000 for a.down. the house was $279,000. We got out bid by people who were not residents of the U.S. where did there money come from? Our government, and banks looked at our records under a microscope. I guess if you are from another country, and pay the government 15%, they will turn a blind eye. They U.S is the biggest money launderer in the world. I wish We could buy in Mexico or China, but there are rules against U.S. citizens buying in those countries... Thanks a lot U.S. for screwing over your own people.. Here is another clincher. If you are undocumented, you get free medical.
Merry Christmas.
