Atherton's John Freidenrich, leading Stanford supporter, dies at 80

Longtime Atherton resident John Freidenrich, a leading supporter of Stanford University, co-founder of a major law firm, and an early investor in many Silicon Valley companies, died Oct. 11. He was 80.
