Menlo Park needs to elect their mayor

Original post made by bruce adornato, Menlo Park: other, on Oct 5, 2017

Menlo Park City Council is apparently going to change the way we elect council members in response to a threatened lawsuit.
Instead of city wide voting, each council member will be elected by by and presumably represent a district in the city.

Not sure where the district lines are yet.

One option, currently undecided, is how the mayor will be chosen. Currently, the mayorship is rotated around the council members. I think it would be better to have a mayor who is elected and serves a full term. We need elected leadership.

It will probably improve the dynamics and workflow.. If you agree, email the city council members..
