Using the Town Square to solicit participation in a survey will inevitably produce a biased and non-representative sample of our community.
Using a Facebook based survey I was able to precisely match the the survey participants' demographics with the census demographics of the Fire District.

This survey should be viewed as a straw poll on how residents think; it is not statistically significant market research. As such it provides useful information otherwise unavailable to residents and our city. It is being conducted thru The Almanac, Nextdoor and resident email lists. I encourage everyone to share it with their neighbors and friends. The more responses, the more useful the information. Thanks.

Ahh no. Not if the data are not gathered in a statistically valid way. More is just more, but not more valid.
