Resident Survey: What should be the future of the Curtis Street pocket park?

Original post made by dana hendrickson, Menlo Park: Central Menlo Park, on Sep 8, 2017

Our City Council needs to hear constructive feedback about the future of a Curtis Street pocket park from more than a small number of residents. Please share your recommendations and reasoning using this resident-published survey. Web Link And keep in mind that your choice is not simply between keeping and removing the existing temporary pock park. I appreciate your participation and will publish a summary of responses.

Peter Carpenter is a registered user.

Using the Town Square to solicit participation in a survey will inevitably produce a biased and non-representative sample of our community.

Using a Facebook based survey I was able to precisely match the the survey participants' demographics with the census demographics of the Fire District.

Yes. Look at how well Putin used micro-targetting thru FaceBook.

FaceBook knows all, Peter.

All hail the wisdom of FaceBook.

This survey should be viewed as a straw poll on how residents think; it is not statistically significant market research. As such it provides useful information otherwise unavailable to residents and our city. It is being conducted thru The Almanac, Nextdoor and resident email lists. I encourage everyone to share it with their neighbors and friends. The more responses, the more useful the information. Thanks.

"the more response, the more useful the information"
Ahh no. Not if the data are not gathered in a statistically valid way. More is just more, but not more valid.
