I am not completely sure that everyone including those with criminal intent will know what a brown sign with an owl on it signifies. The sign appears to say that your neighborhood is focused on owl watching or owl protection.

As long as it keeps unsavory characters/thugs from other communities out, I'm all for it

Right, because you only want the unsavory characters/thugs from within your own community...right?

Signs? Yeah, I feel safer already, this will for sure discourage burglars and others with bad intent. Should have thought of this sooner!

Dave Boyce is a registered user.
Town Manager Jeremy Dennis told the Town Council on Wednesday (Aug. 23) that he's hoping that the license-plate-reading cameras may be up by mid-September. But he added that he's gotten no confirmation from Pacific Gas & Electric Corp. on a date.

Isn't the 'Boho's as "unsavory characters"' comment traditionally a late July timeframe observation?
