Tonight: Meeting to discuss Dumbarton's future

After more than a year and a $1 million contribution by Facebook, SamTrans has released a study on the Dumbarton Transportation Corridor, laying out recommendations to ease traffic and improve transit across the Bay's southernmost bridge.

I like the idea of rebuilding the rail bridge with a rail shuttle. I think it should take precedence over the Dumbartin bridge highway that will just dump traffic onto two-lane Willow Road and not relieve traffic congestion. A rail bridge and rail shuttle would actually alleviate congestion. I'm pretty sure the abandoned tracks already run close to Facebook, and if they could also connect with Google and other tech companies close to the bay, it would be a worthwhile project.
