Pardon my geography, but seems like the routes of the Tour de Menlo are mostly in other towns. I think Palo Alto and Los Altos share the majority of the miles. Seems to be "Menlo" in name only?

No one wants to bike in Menlo Park because of how much traffic there is... much too dangerous

Laps up and down the steep end of Valpariso then racing down Willow doesn't make much of a long ride

They should really change the name. It's like having the Tour of California run primarily in Nevada.

Tour de Peninsula?
Tour de Flea Street?
Menlo Metric Century?
Tour de San Andreas Fault Line?

Unfortunately Menlo Park has too much crime, so they decided to route this year's ride far far away.
