I don't advocate theft but is it really theft when someone doesn't lock their car? Aren't they just inviting trouble? The MP Police stopped coming to my neighbors house cause he leaves his car door opened or unlocked regularly, only to find it ransacked time after time. 48 yrs in MP and I've never had my car broken into - cause I lock it.

If people would stop leaving purses, wallets and other valuables in their cars in plain sight, it appears our crime rate would be cut in half.

Blaming the victims of a crime is a typical sign of a dysfunctional community/society.
