Woodside: Volunteer claims town's ethics probe violated her constitutional rights

A former longtime volunteer for the town of Woodside has filed a claim against the town and its current and previous mayors, alleging that her constitutional rights to free speech were violated by the way the town handled a complaint that she had violated the town's ethics code.

Having read this thread for many months and see this latest article I do not take a position. Fortunately, I live in another town. I take issue with The Almanac position that it is okay to be anonymous in letters posted in response to articles. It can be incendiary. People, if you want to weigh in, take responsibility for your positions and don't hide behind an alias. It is destructive to your community and perpetuates the dysfunction of this story and demeans the hard work of all the volunteers in your community, sad that the love of Woodside is the thread and it has turned into such a S show. If you have something to say here, put your name behind it, the anonymous mud slinging isn't good for the dialectic.
