The reason why Trump won was the Democrats ran the worst possible candidate. Her corruption, dishonest, and avarice were so egregious that many people held their noses and voted for Donald Trump. If Biden were the candidate he probably would have won. If Jim Webb were the candidate it would have been a blow out of huge proportions for the Democrats.

Republicans actually preferred Sanders over Clinton because, even though they did not like his politics, Sanders has a reputation for being a straight shooter. Also, he is not motivated by power or greed; only by humble service to the people and he treats everyone decently regardless of their politics. He isn't anything like Hillary. You can trust Senator Senator Sanders even if you don't like his messaging.

Ah yes, the "Jim Webb should have run for president" canard again.

And let's stop with this "Senator Sanders was more popular with Republicans." If you're going to say something like that, back it up with *actual* evidence (which you don't have, BTW).

And as for "Her corruption, dishonest, and avarice were so egregious that many people held their noses and voted for Donald Trump" -- yo haven't bothered to keep up with the news lately, have you now?

And we still don't see any of the local posters try and defend their Trump or 3rd party vote. They know, deep to their core, just how indefensible Trump is, and it gnaws at them deeply every day. Sad!

Congrats to the resistance in the topic. Glad y'all finally came around.

Observer-

How Flynn, Trump, et al.. become Kompromat, from the CIA:

Brennan today - "I have studied Russian intelligence activities over the years and I’ve seen it manifest in many different of our counterintelligence cases and how they have been able to get people, including inside the CIA, to become treasonous. And frequently, individuals who go along a treasonous path do not even realize they’re along that path until it gets to be a bit too late. "

Related: "Sure, Donny me boy, we have lots of Russian oligarchs who will loan ya money, or pay super-inflated prices for your white-elephant properties; nah, we don't need nuthin' right now, but we'll holla at ya later..."

The bill is coming due, Donny boy, for the Ruskkies bailing you out from your 2008 personal mortgage meltdown.

Traitor.

Or do you differ?

Just amazing. If not every day, then every other day.

Kushner meets with Moscow bank AND Russian ambassador and essentially opens himself up to treason. Are things that bad that trumpites can't get loans thru normal banks?

Just amazing.

More out of touch corporatist dinosaurs (Clinton, Pelosi, Feinstein, Wasserman-Shultz) with wealthy husbands is just what the Democrats need to win over voters in the Central Valley and the rest of the red states.

"More out of touch corporatist dinosaurs ... is just what the Democrats need to win over voters in the Central Valley and the rest of the red states."

Really? Because the GOP is not filled with "corporatist dinosaurs"?

That Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell team is pure populism! Just look at the 23 million Americans who will lose healthcare so Paul/Mitch can give tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires. Populists!

Besides, Indivisible isn't seeking "corporatist dinosaurs" as candidates - red herring.

Yeah, those Democrats have done a great job running CA. SMH.

pogo is a registered user.

I'm guessing that people in other states will be just as receptive to these pleas from Californians as Californians would be to pleas from those in other states (especially from opposing political parties).
