Officers killed in the line of duty honored at county museum

The local law enforcement community gathered May 3 at the San Mateo County History Museum to honor 27 officers killed in the line of duty in the county since 1888, when jailer George Tallman succumbed after being beaten by four escaping inmates.

God bless these officers who have given their lives while protecting the citizens of their communities. The sacrifices they, and their families, make for us on a daily basis will never be forgotten. RIP brave men and women who have given their lives for us.
