Derwin spends big to persuade Elon Musk to 'Dump Trump'

Elon Musk, chief executive of Tesla and Space X and chairman of Solar City, has not done enough to arrest climate change, according to former Portola Valley resident Doug Derwin, who says he will spend up to $2 million to persuade Mr. Musk to distance himself from Donald Trump.

I think it is up to Elon Musk and Elon Musk alone to decide what he does and does not personally support. If Derwin wants to waste his money that is up to him but were I Elon Musk I certainly would not change just because one person didn't like what I was doing, and from my experience Mr. Musk is unlikely to bend to that pressure either. As for leaving the Presidents Council of businesses, why? It is good that there are Silicon Valley CEO's on that panel.

I find it funny that he is considering offering to pay be deposits for Tesla Cars, if I had one one order I would cancel and let him pay the deposit then order it again. Nothing like wasting someone else's money...

Elon's signature adventure, SpaceX, depends on government support and contracts. Other than that...

Rather ironic that climate change and rising sea levels may/will impinge on Kennedy (elevation 3 ft, yes, three feet) and a couple other low elevation sites.
