Sheriff's Office investigates another Portola Valley burglary

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office reported Saturday that it is investigating another residential burglary in Portola Valley, this one on Brookside Drive sometime between 6 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday.

So sad! Unfortunately this is the new normal for Portola Valley. It's scary how many people have been victimized just this year alone. Let's call it what they are, these DEGENERATE SCUMBAG THUGS have terrorized us for far too long. Remember call the sheriffs office asap to report anyone not from around here if they look suspicious. Let's watch each other's backs and keep our town safe.

There is no excuse for leaving doors unlocked!!! That's asking for trouble. Yes, I agree that no one should be entering another's property, but that doesn't mean we aren't our own first line of defense. That's what locks are for. If it's a sliding glass door, a 2X4 in the track is an even stronger deterrent.
