Mental illness should not be treated with incarceration....He said he was going to hurt himself. Attempted murder are you kidding me?

I'm really concerned that a mentally disturbed person works in a hotel where he might have contact with visiting guests & other employees.

It is very hard dealing with people with mental illness. Police should be trained how to treat people with this disease. The way the Police handled this situation was very good. I would like to say Thank the Police officers cTDMgfor that. No one was hurt.

Please don't charge this man as he desperately needs help.
Perhaps something good can come from this. Hopefully this man can get the help he needs.

The inaccuracy contained in this article is concerning.

The individual brandishing a knife was NOT, has NEVER been an employee of the Stanford Park Hotel.

The man was employed by a Vendor who was performing maintenance at the Hotel, again, not a hotel employee.

The police deserve accolades for practicing a tendentious amount of restraint in the face of danger. They comported themselves with care, thoughtfulness and professionalism and I am both confident and impressed in the department, its leadership and these officers who serve our community in a spectacular fashion.

Respectfully and sincerely,

Patrick J. Lane
General Manager
Stanford Park Hotel

Mr. Posada is alive today because the MPk police used tasers. Officers in other local areas recently have shot and killed individuals in similar situations.

Sometimes you just have to get rid of those crazy Iranians coming in from Mexico before you destroy the whole police force.
