Portola Valley: Town may install license-plate-reading cameras

The sense of privacy that Portola Valley residents and visitors have when driving into or out of town may be in the balance Wednesday (March 22) when the Town Council meets to consider a staff recommendation to install license-plate-reading cameras to assist with criminal investigations.

Let's put some chips in everyone and track them easier! Maybe a UPC barcode across their forehead. Yeah, that's the ticket!

Well let's hope folks stop coming to PV for dining & shopping etc. in order to avoid big brother.
On a more serious note do the county or state have a say so about using these devices on their roads?
