Kudos to the police for the successful resolution to this situation. The write up in the SF Chronicle this morning provided much more detail, and it seems a more reactionary response by the police and tactics squad could have resulted in the person being shot and perhaps killed, with the resulting usual uproar and required investigation.
Again, congratulations too a dangerous situation that was professionally and carefully handled.
