I'm so pleased to learn the two groups will be meeting. This type of collaboration provides a forum and an opportunity to openly discuss topics of mutual concern.

Public Safety whether at a national level or at a local level is of utmost concern. It is often said, there is strength in numbers, which in this case blends the Atherton City Council and the Menlo Park Fire Protection District's views on topics important to local residents, business and industry.

We look to our elected officials for answers. The combined meeting of the five Council Members and the five District Members, along with the assistance of staff, with patience and persistence, in a positive and professional way can help to create an array of services, second to none.

I commend the two groups in taking time to meet and look forward to their continued efforts in working together in providing a legendary service for the communities they serve.
