Since the League of Women's Voters takes policy positions, they are not an unbiased organization and an assertion that they provide unbiased information is suspect.

Any of them seem "suspect" to you? Seems pretty sober to me. Such as the first one:
"Promote an open governmental system that is representative, accountable and responsive.
Voting Rights
Citizen’s Right to Vote. Protect the right of all citizens to vote; encourage all citizens to vote."
Oh wait, that's an anathema to certain politicians, isn't it?

LWV has long been controversial politically and shown preferences, like the business-led Chamber of Commerce. Title says it all.

Like what "controversy"? Equality? Right to vote?
Perhaps controversial to those out on the far spectrum of either "side" but not to most folk.
