Cecilia Taylor has been back in town one year. Ray Mueller and Cat Carlton have lived continuously in Menlo Park for the last 10+ years. They both served on Menlo Park Commissions before running for city council. They both have served our city well in the past 4 years as Menlo Park City Council members and as our mayors.

Cecilia Taylor knows Belle Haven. She is not running for the mayor of Belle Haven. She is running for Menlo Park City Council. Outside of the Belle Haven Community she does not know very much about the city of Menlo Park. Nor does she know much about the region.

Ray and Cat both know the region and both have worked with elected officials in the State Assembly and the State Senate on a variety of issues. Cecilia Taylor does not have a record of experience or accomplishment. I don't know what the Almanac editorial board was thinking but they only got it half right. Ray and Cat and are the obvious choices to be re-elected.

Cecelia, my advise to you is serve on a Menlo Park Commission for at least one full term before running for city council. We need experience people who know the city. People like Ray Mueller and Cat Carlton.

Watch the candidate forum before you dismiss Cecilia Taylor.
Many decisons are being made now that affect Belle Haven the most. Similar decisons will be made soon about projects in the rest of menlo park. She demonstrated that she has insights the current council members do not.

The current council is not curious or detail oriented. Cecilia is doing her homework. I am proud to support her.
Thank you Almanac.
