Spare the Air - does anyone care? Thank you for this article and thank you for pointing out the dangers related to smog, a by-product of our daily use of automobiles. Just as it's wrong to smoke indoors (especially when children are present), it's wrong to burn gasoline and drive (especially on Spare the Air days and especially if we have alternatives, like transit, bicycling, and walking, available). Please, for the sake of our planet, our lungs, and our children, spare the air.

This is a reminder that in MP all gas-powered leaf blowers are prohibited on these days. Hopefully the professional gardeners are taking note. If you hire a gardener it doesn't hurt to inform them.
