Requested Supervisor Don Horsley Recuse Himself from agenda item 7 7/12/16 BOS Meeting

Original post made by Michael G. Stogner, another community, on Aug 5, 2016

There were many reasons for my request the main reason was to avoid a Conflict of Interest or the Appearance of a Conflict, as we all know now Don chose not to recuse himself.

Don Horsley's son works for the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy. That should have done it.

"I'm hoping my Undersheriff Carlos Bolanos will be appointed at the BOS meeting next week."

That would have been nice for the Public to know.

This is what an appointment process looks like, people speaking pros & cons etc.
2008 the 3 Supervisors ignored the majority claiming saving $1.6M was more important. The Grand Jury said it wasn't more important and they should not have appointed Carole Groom.
