My guess is that challengers will be "extra challenged" this year since Ray/Cat generally haven't rubbed people the wrong way (see Kelly/Heyward/Mickie/Lee, previous elections), and also it's a high-interest presidential election year that'll presumably draw lots of moderates to the polls.
I guess the VERG folks are making noise, but if their main issue is the General Plan, then all Ray/Cat have to do is make sure there's more "community meetings" and avoid making any real decisions before November. Also the VERG people seem to have limited appeal, is that fair to say? I don't know who is demanding a Steve Schmidt return, and Martin Lamarque strikes me as similar to Chuck Bernstein, but "without the charm". Maybe Patti Fry will finally put herself out there and accept the consequences?
Someone has to have heard something, right?
