Similarly, the IRS phone scam has popped up again. Caller claims to be from the IRS telling you that you are being sued by the IRS and to correct this problem directs you to call them on a phone number -in my case the number was 712-823-8534, which I presume is a "burner" phone. Remember, the IRS does not contact you by phone if they have an issue with you.

The other IRS phone scam is calling and leaving a message that this is Officer.... and you owe money to the IRS. To avoid being attested you must call or you will be arrest.
IRS does not call people demanding money.

The IRS scam number they left on our voice mail this week was 605-744-9243. The female voice had little accent, but the grammar was vintage translation-from-an-Asian-language (no articles, singular nouns where plural should have been used).
Not that it is likely to help, but I sent the information to the FBI.
