East Palo Alto activists say Menlo Park omitted key letter from Facebook expansion study

Original post made on Jul 7, 2016

Something is missing from the almost 5,000 pages of text detailing how the environment would be affected by Facebook's plans to build three 75-foot tall buildings (two offices and a hotel), and add an estimated 6,550 employees to Menlo Park.

Facebook has already had their way with Menlo Park, it is futile for East Palo Alto to resist. SUBMIT.

East Palo Alto is working on its own General Plan update right now:

Their own Draft EIR was issued around the same time as Menlo Park's. Did EPA consider this allegedly "unique" overlapping EIR issue, and extend their review period to 60 days? Nope! They stuck with just a hair over the bare minimum, at 47 days:

The NIMBYs in East Palo Alto need to get with the program. Growth is good, and the more growth we have, the better. More people, more cars, more traffic, that's our future and we're excited about it. Who wants to be stuck in the past like a residentialist? Remember Measure M? The people have spoken!

Through out all the studies-no where do I see an impact on our local Menlo Park schools. It would be helpful to know what the increased enrollment numbers are expected to be with the addition of Facebook employees and their children. Has there been any data or recommendations been provided from the Menlo Park School district or more importantly from the actual teachers?
