Trump on Brexit: your Pound drops, my golf course will make more money

Original post made by von Trumpenstein, Menlo Park: Park Forest, on Jun 24, 2016

Offending many on his vacation from his flagging campaign (!) Trump claims the weakening pound is good - for Trump.

“If the pound goes down, more people are coming to Turnberry, frankly,” he said, referring to the location of his near bankrupt resort. “For traveling and for other things, I think it very well could turn out to be positive.”

Because working Scots and Brits really care about saving a couple pounds traveling when they are losing their job. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Also. Wall.

Trump also has zero knowledge of the UK: he congratulated Scotland for voting to exit. Reporters gasped and told Trump that Scotland overwhelming voted to stay.

Tone. Deaf.

Even worse: But he couldn’t resist trying to liken what he had done at Turnberry to what he might do if he is elected president in November. He said it was a “mini example” of what he would accomplish.

“But the country is not a golf course,” a reporter called out.

“No,” Trump replied. “[But] you’d be amazed at how similar it is.”

A couple reference points:

1. "Trump has also reported to Scottish authorities that he lost millions of dollars on the project - even as he claims on U.S. presidential disclosure forms that the course has been highly profitable."

"The project would ... create 6,000 jobs - maybe even 7,000 jobs, Trump said at one press conference. Tourists would travel here from around the world, he promised, along with well-known celebrities like Scottish actor Sean Connery.

But today, the Trump International Golf Links near Aberdeen employs just 150 people"

"During a dispute over property lines, the Trump staff ripped out a fence near the home of David and Moira Milne... The Trump workers installed their own fence - and then sent the Milnes a bill for it.

"It ain't getting paid. I'm never paying it," said David Milne, an energy consultant who chuckles at the thought of Trump trying to get Mexico to pay for a massive border wall when he couldn't collect on the bill for a slatted wood fence no more than five feet tall."

It keeps coming back to, The. Wall.

Too funny!

2. Trump has claimed he will be the most physically fit president ever. Yes. He did. Shall we look at his picture perfect healthy body? Web Link

I apologize. That image of Fysically-Fit Donny may stay with you for awhile.

Here's a picture of cute kittens to help rinse the image from your memory Web Link
