San Mateo County Sheriff's Office puts 'inmate locator tool' online

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office announced Friday that it was making available online an inmate locator tool, which gives the public the ability to get real-time information on people in custody.

Nice way to ruin the lives of innocent people and those with minor offenses and their families.

Too bad the San Mateo DA's office doesn't have a similar system online for notifying victims about criminal defendants' parole hearings.
