How new Woodside Library changes things

The remodeled Woodside Library, which reopened April 16 after a nine-month renovation, includes mobile book shelves capable of being rolled away, creating a new capacity for large indoor community events such as performances and talks.

Not only did they keep the outside, which I STILL remember from 1978, but the interior looks very similar, keeping a longtime history of the Library. But to me, the earthquake proofing, and the rest of the "hidden" improvements are the real upgrade to the Library.
I spent many hours, whether inside or outside the Library, reading the wonderful books they always had. I read Heart of Darkness in 2ND grade, back in '68, and never looked back. The Library opened new world to me, and I have been a heavy reader since.
Many thanks to the Library, and all the wonderful Librarians throughout it's history!
