I find this award to Menlo Park Municipal Water District difficult to swallow. Take a look around Burgess Park. Six large beautiful Redwoods died when their water source was abruptly cutoff last summer and many Magnolias have died or are dying. It would have been nice if those responsible for the excessive local water cuts had a little more foresight with regards to our beautiful heritage trees. The trees are what make our city parks special.
