Wedesday: Will Atherton become more welcoming to chickens?

At the moment, it's illegal to have even a single chicken in Atherton on a lot of less than 80,000 square feet, which is close to two acres. On Wednesday the City Council will consider relaxing those regulations.

I would like to see Atherton allow chickens. They may need to learn to feed themselves (this is step one) since they are underpaying their help, who now can't afford to live anywhere on the peninsula. It's sort of a back up plan if there is an exodus of workers due to the housing crisis.
