Caltrans: No broadcast spraying of herbicides along Highways 84 and 35 this year

Following up on recent promises, Caltrans has announced that it will forego broadcast spraying of herbicides along Highway 84 (Woodside/La Honda/San Gregorio Road) and Highway 35 (Skyline Boulevard) this year and use only spot spraying and manual removal of vegetation.

"She said that some spot spraying of pesticides will take place, but that crews will not spray where "No Spray" signs have been posted on private property, but they WILL SPRAY in the Caltrans right-of-way even when signs are posted" This says to me that they will spray no matter what, and I for one will have another flare up of pesticide induced illnesses that I thought I had under control. Please respect our do not spray signs.
