Menlo Park home burglary: Hayward man pleads no contest

In exchange for eight months in jail and no time in state prison, Christopher Sheard, 21, of Hayward, pleaded no contest Dec. 14 to one count of residential burglary in connection with a June 2015 burglary of a Menlo Park home.
