Atherton dentist pleads not guilty to defrauding patients

Kim Chi Vu, the 52-year-old dentist from Atherton who was charged in May with defrauding patients and an insurance company by charging for services that were not completed or were misrepresented, has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Fraud is always a despicable crime, but when perpetrated (allegedly) by a professional in whom we place our trust, it is especially bad. At times I wonder if having ethics is a bygone expectation.
