The story is fine. Cline became mayor again in December of 2010, and served as mayor until December of 2011.

The story first said Cline last served as mayor in 2010. This is now a revised (and corrected) version.

Thank you Cat for being such a good mayor and congratulations to Rich Cline for his hat trick. I have been a City Council follower since 1996. Until 2012 there had been much vitriol and acrimony among the council members and at times it seemed like the Hatfield's and McCoy's.

In 2012 we finally got a city council where there was mutual respect and a willingness to put differences aside to work together for the good of the city. This City Council is now unquestionably the best one in at least twenty years.

Thank you Cat, Rich, Kirsten, Peter and Ray. You have done well by Menlo Park and I am grateful for your assiduousness, professionalism, perseverance, and striving to govern in the best interests of the city.

It is also good to have Chip Taylor back. We missed you Chip and now we welcome you back with open arms.
