Atherton: Thieves steal tools worth more than $33,000 in three burglaries

Tools valued at more than $33,000 were reported stolen in three burglaries at residential construction sites in Atherton on the evening of Nov. 24, and a later residential burglary is also under investigation.

I visited a flea market in the East Bay once. Among the items for sale were many well-used power drills, power saws and hand tools. I bet most of them were stolen from construction sites.
