Fire district director joins harbor district board

Menlo Park resident Virginia Chang Kiraly, about to begin her second four-year term on the board of the Menlo Park Fire Protection District, has joined the board of the San Mateo County Harbor District.

There have been 2 Town Square postings about this issue. Most of the comments seem negative about Ms. Kiraly holding 2 positions and even if there may be some overlap of agencies.

In a previous post, I commented that its perception just seems inappropriate. Ms. Kiraly should pick one or the other but not both. It just seems politically greedy.
