SMC Sheriff Office opened Internal Investigation in Joaquin Jimenez case.

Original post made by Michael G. Stogner, another community, on Oct 27, 2015

The San Mateo County Sheriff Office has opened an Internal Investigation into the behavior of its Gang Task Force Deputies and Patrol Deputies for their alleged behavior on October 18, 2015 in Half Moon Bay. The allegations became public October 20, 2015 at the HMB City Council Meeting where 19 year old Joaquin Jimenez shared his experience as a young HMB resident having his photo taken and being video taped by the Gang Task Force. He was concerned so he called his father Joaquin Jimenez who was concerned so he walked downtown to find out what was happening. He found out much more than he wanted, while talking to his son SMC patrol car pulled up he approached and asked why are you racial profiling my son and taking photos of him is Illegal. Deputy driver flings door open grabs Father by vest with both hands pushes him back 15 ft and says get on the F…..g sidewalk. He tells father he is interfering with a Gang Investigation and he will lose his job. The Deputy knew Mr. Jimenez is employed by San Mateo County in the Juvenile Probation Department.

That's it for now.

Yikes- it is painful to watch the father of the young man tell this very credible story. However, given their track records, NgYI hold out NO hope that the San Mateo Sheriff's office or the DA will do anything.

Will the Almanac be doing a story on this?

A most recent San Mateo County Employee threatened by Andy Mar a San Mateo County Sheriff Deputy, in a Courtroom Gun aim at his head held by both hands.

The victim is no longer employed by San Mateo County.

Video Cameras, for all public servants.

Want a paycheck? Turn it on, and leave it on.

This is a great topic for all parents and their teenagers to have.

What are the rights of citizens.

No parent wants their child to be labeled a Gang Member. No parent wants their child to be in a gang.

I've met Mr. Jimenez several times during the months after 18 year old Yanira Seranno-Garcia of HMB was shot and killed by a SMC Sherif Deputy within 20 secs of his arrival to a 911 Medical call June 3, 2014. I have seen him with his children several times, he is a very good father.

I requested a copy of the incident report from the Sheriff's Office, I was told there isn't one, now we have this investigation and there wasn't and incident report turn in.

Anyone else notice that they locked the thread about Munk's retiring? I guess they didn't like our snide comments. That's too bad, because the snideness is appropriate and well-deserved.

It's unfortunate that they chose to kick that thread. I was looking forward to reading comments from others who would also be glad when the law breaking sheriff retires. Let's hope Bolanos doesn't run for the office.
