Moss Beach Business Closes After Prostitution Arrest

"Massage Business Closes after Prostitution Arrest"

From the Half Moon Bay Review today:
Web Link

Excerpts:

"A sting operation at a Moss Beach massage business in May led to the arrest of an employee and a loss of a business license.

The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office reported receiving numerous complaints about the business, Healing Massage, which was located north of the Moss Beach Post Office at 2305 Carlos St.

Excerpt:

... Authorities say the plainclothes detective received a sexual solicitation during the massage appointment... “She had, in the course (of the appointment), offered oral sex in return for $80,” said San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe.

---

Doesn't anyone in the press in San Mateo County see how hypocritical the Sheriff's and DA's office are being on this matter? Why arrest the Moss Beach people and yet Wagstaffe - and the county- let Munks skate on his massage parlor visit in 2007?

Someone got a speeding ticket a decade ago, and can't let go....

Speeding ticket? No, sport. Not even a resident of San Mateo County. Nice try at diversion on a very serious and legitimate topic.

Not as diverting as going back over a decade, with someone who's been reelected several times since then, but we KNOW that won't stop you.

Not in SMC?

where's Starsky? Yes, the sheeple of SMC reelected their corrupt officials. It makes them no less corrupt. Apparently the voters don't care. It's too bad.

Do you not care that your sheriff was caught in a brothel for underage prostitutes? Ten years ago or otherwise? (Part removed.)

It occurred only 8 years ago, not ten. I don't care how long ago it happened. It was corrupt and Munks should have resigned or forced out. Too bad "Hutch" showed no concern for the trafficked underaged girls who were exploited.

No attempts to minimize a very serious situation will erase what occurred.

OPERATION DOLLHOUSE--Sheriff Munks & Undersheriff Bolanos.
San Mateo County residents need to remember how these 2 highest ranking law enforcement agents of our County violated the standards of human decency. (Part removed. If you can verify this, email it to editor@AlmanacNewes.com.)

Another story in the local newspapers about OPERATION DOLLHOUSE.
It states in this story that the customers"JOHNS" were detained, not arrested.

"It states in this story that the customers"JOHNS" were detained, not arrested."

Which begs the question what were Munks and Bolanos doing there in the first place? Looking for a massage? BS! There are tons of places in Vegas to get a legitimate massage and they're not located in residential neighborhoods. This "massage parlor" wasn't even close to where a legitimate massage location. Even a rookie cop would have had a clue as to what was going on if they hadn't asked to be taken where they were taken.

If we didn't live in such a morally bankrupt county we wouldn't be having this discussion. If this had happened to the Santa Clara County Sheriff she would have had the class and dignity to resign. If it had happened to her male predecessor, he too, would have resigned.

Of course, in San Mateo County, the "people that matter" don't care that our Sheriff has questionable ethics. The "people that matter" include our DA and our County Supervisors, both of which gave Munks and Bolanos a pass. And they don't care because the sheeple of the county keep reelecting them. Why would they care about honesty and ethics? Hasn't mattered before.

The responsibility for this mess lies with the 5 Supervisors of San Mateo County, its that simple.
