Two motorcyclists seriously injured in Skylonda crash

Two motorcyclists were seriously injured in a collision with a box truck in San Mateo County's Skylonda area Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Another sad incident, my condolences to all involved. I have seen so many motorcycle accidents along Hwy 84 and assisted with a few, most with serious injuries. Please let's stop making Hwy 84 a raceway and daredevil competition, the life you save may be your own.

For many years I was one of those sport riders. Because of the power you have, you can usually pass cars quite easily. But some riders get sloppy, and when another vehicle appears from the opposite direction before completing the pass, they assume they can squeeze by.

But when a big truck appears... Oops.

Sorry, but this is a case of Darwinism in action.
