Speaking of the expected torrents of rain what's the condition of the San Francisquito Creek? Any word from the San Francisquito Creek Joint Powers Authority? What's the potential impact of the removal or changes to the Searsville Dam?
How does the vast amount of recent construction and covering of once uncovered soil impact runoff into the creek? (Stanford engineering & med center areas, cogeneration facility; SLAC; Rosewood Hotel; Ronald McDonald facility and Vi senior housing). Some of these may not be just a few years recent but recent as being built since the last huge storms and floods 1995 and 1998.
And don't forget 1955 with major portions of Menlo Park and Palo Alto flooded.

Rural areas flood. Atherton prides itself on its rural environs. Good luck!

Who's responsible for debris removal from San Francisquito Creek? Much of the damage in our last big flood year came from spillover of trash-clogged creek bed.

I wish Atherton very well in dealing with the coming El Nino storms. We all need to do our best to prepare for potential flooding.
I was not around back in 1955 when parts of Menlo Park and Palo Alto flooded. Can anyone tell us exactly what areas flooded? A simple on-line map would be great. TIA!
